Zurich, most have one change and that is at Milano.eparting Zurich at 0715 and arriving in
Rome Termini at 17:30 at 10hr15min trip.ou can also continue on these schedules and find trains
that require not one but two or more changes enroute.Might also suggest you looking into the
overnite trains also on this list you will find
trains that could result in possible delays in
your trip.Changes of trains at Milano Centrale
are not difficult it is a very efficent station.

A better connection is the 07:09 Cisalpino out of Zurich (arr.
Milan 10:45 that connects with the EuroStar lvg Milan at 11:00
and gets into Roma Termini at 15:30 (reservations from Milan to
Rome mandatory, from Zurich to Milan recommended.
Although it takes two hours less than the other one, thatŐs still
one heck of a long and tiring train journey, and you miss a
decent breakfast and lunch since you canŐt leave your stuff and
go to the restaurant car these days.ou could break the journey
in Milan, have an early lunch, and carry on later.
Just because there happen to be no budget flights out of Zurich
doesnŐt mean you canŐt fly cheaply.
You can fly from BSL airport (just outside of Basel, on French
territory, for Euros 24. (incl.axes etc.n July 06, with
www.syjet.m.
The trains from Zurich to Basel take just barely over an hour,
with several departures every hour, some direct, others with a
quick transfer en route in Baden or Olten; thereŐs a shuttle bus
to the airport from Basel SBB, the Swiss side of the train station
where you arrive (Basel itself is right on the border with France
and Germany.nd class one way at full fare costs CHF30.
If your travels in Switzerland take you closer to Geneva, note
that you can fly from Geneva to Rome, also with www.syjet.m, for
as little as Euros 26. (includes taxes etc.n July.rains from
Zurich to the airport of Geneva (GVA take 2:52 hours so you
could make the 10:40 or 11:30 easyjet departures if you get up
early. fullfare oneway ticket 2nd class costs CHF81.
You can possibly fly with Darwin airline from Bern to Rome
Ciampino, but your dates donŐt come up yet, email
infodarwinairline.m, this could work out to be a good
solution also.
From Zurich you can be in Bern in less than an hour, at a cost of
CHF45 for a fullfare oneway 2nd class ticket; then itŐs a bus to
the airport in BernBelp, leaves every 30 minutes, takes about
30 minutes.
I've booked a flight to Zurich for 10days frm 28th Dec until 7th Jan.I had intended to stay with a friend, but due to unforseen circumstances, it's now cancelled.I cannot transfer my dates with Swissair, so rather than lose the cost of the flight, now wondering if there's anything i could still visit/take part in
