ttt We are starting a two week holiday in Switzerland in Geneva in June having used easy jet to get there.e are trying to decide if we should buy the Swiss pass and use the public transport system or hire a car.y husband argues we would be better off travelling by car as it is much easier to deal with our suitcases.e also says it will give us more flexibility with accommodation, being able to check out more hotels before deciding where to stay. feel that the train will take the strain and that he will be able to gaze at those wonderful views without having to concentrate on driving. Please assist us with your advice.

Good morning, Ann Would strongly suggesting using the train, as you have a lot of scrnery to see nd cn miss some while driving.Trains run very grequently mostly on the hour.We have numerously used the SBB baggae system to take care of excess luggage.irst of all try to pack only a minimum ofr cloting and etc to take. Secondly, you can very easily check your larger luggage thru to your destination. at any railway station or at Kloten. If you fly Swissair you also cab check luggage thru to the destination in CH from US airports served by SR. e. a couple years back check two red suitcases in Chicago with a final destination of Grindelwald.Baggage chnged trains at Kloten, Bern, Interlaken and arrived in Grindelwald on the same train we arrived on. Have notmally taken the larger bags to the station and checked thru the night before assureing that they would be in our destination on our arrival the next day.has not failed. You can work out of a small carryon for possibly a day or two enroute and then catch up with your luggage, Have also used the same service of sending our mountain wear to Zurich and there held until we returned about ten days later for our trip back home.orked very well.Also have used the hotels porter for going to the station to pickup luggage and deliver it to our toom, always when the station is close by.
