Rigi and Pilatus will each take part of a day (assuming you're riding the trains and not hiking up from the lake so you can sprinkle in other activities on those days.For example, we visited the Swiss Transport Museum and then caught a ~1 PM boat to the Pilatus train. You could also do a day trip to Zurich or Interlaken if you wanted to do some broader exploring.We did see both Rigi and Pilatus during a 3night Lucerne stay but I'm not sure that I'd plan both if my entire Switzerland trip was three days.

Reply to pdhenry, i am undecided whether to go both or just choose rigis or pilatus, haha.nd i planned all my three days in switzerland at lucerne as I don't wish to used most of my time in packing and moving and finding hotels.ut it won't do harm to squeeze one day out to another cities too.ut isn't Zurich a bit too far I will still have to go back to Basel airports as i am traveling via easy jets.oo few times, too many places in switzerland.aha, that's why i just choose and stick to one place, lucerne.ope it is a wise choice.
