SWITZERLAND Readers's Tips - Greetings Although I've never been to Switzerland I'm considering Lake Lugano as a possible venue for a summer wedding.ould appreciate any feedback on whether this is a good choice or if there are other places which lend themselves better to a romantic, relaxed but unforgettable wedding location.hanks so much.

I haven't been to Lake Lugano, but I'm a huge fan of Montreaux, which sits on Lake Geneva.How about chartering a party boat and for a cruise around Lake Geneva.You could have the wedding on the lake and Chateaux de Chillon can be your backdrop. I'm sure there are a lot more great locations around Switzerland, I hope you will get more ideas to choose from.I hope Michael Quartz jumps in with his usual good advice. Has dondhahran used Google by inputting the two words Wedding Switzerland to confirm that they know everything there is to know to make the wedding be legal Lugano is in the Italianspeaking part of Switzerland, which is bound to impart a different cultural and culinary flavor on proceedings than if you were to do it in, say, Montreux which is part of the Frenchspeaking canton of Vaud, where the entire vibe would again be different than doing in, say, the canton of Bern, maybe on the lakes of Thun or Brienz, where the Bernese dialect of the many and very different SwissGerman dialects is spoken. There are so many lovely spots my advice would be to take heed of a good friend who has been there and just settle on one spot he/she swears by.eeing that the average wedding in the US has just been published as costing 27 grand, maybe one of you can fly over there while the fares are still cheap and scope it out What's another couple of grand As to how to organize it beats me, it's not my thing.
